It is about the same as my old Badger 1/2 HP garbage disposal. Seems to be a little quieter. So far so good.

I bought this microwave in 2011 and it still works, for that, I am grateful. But the lightbulb went out shortly after I bought it. The users manual shows the "location" of the lightbulb. No mention of a replacement bulb part number or how one might go about installing it. Online help says if no light, replace the lightbulb. There is no access to it other than removing the housing with a special screwdriver that most people do not have in their home. My next microwave will be one that doesn't require an appliance dealer to replace the bulb. Yes, I recommend this microwave to a friend who doesn't mind cooking in the dark.

We have only had this a short time. The size is just what I wanted and it looks very nice in the corner of our counter. It works well, also.
