I've been using this product for 6 years. It works very well for me. I don't understand why the low reviews. It is your ability to get to the filter that is your issue. Not the filter. Also, if a plumber can't figure it out. Get a new plumber. I've never had a filtration system before. I've never had trouble changing it, but, and this is the important part, look for a little red button and push it. You have to release the pressure before you can get it apart. LOLBrought to you by a 53 yo female!

Easy to operated and reasonably priced

I have used this filter in two homes Ive lived in. It is a simple to change filter canister. There is a pressure release valve mounted on top. (I installed a valve on either side of the filter eliminating any pressure from gravity). I use the lubricant once in a while. I don't over tighten. My water pressure is 45psi it should never be more than 55, most sink and toilet hardware will fail under higher pressure..I usually go 4 months between changes. I have municipal water.

Bought our manufactured house in 2012, with the whole house water softening system. Our new well has sulphur smell which in our area, a lot of wells do. The system works really well for softening and this filter does a bang up job of keeping the smell gone as long as we change the filter every 3 months.

    Impossible to change filter

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No way to change filter. Too tight to remove. Wouldn't know how filtered water works.
