This low key clean black stainless steel fridge doesn't distract and performs simply and cleanly. The design is modern and super clean cut. It fades into the background easily but when you inspect it up close, it appears quality to your eyes and feels very premium to your touch. This thing is deceptively large and fits a lot of items although you wouldnt think it coming from a top and bottom fridge. The only drawback would be if you are used to being able to fit wide things inside the fridge such as a large cake in its box or a large pizza box, this would not allow for it. However, the benefits far outshine. Here are some of my favorites Favorite features: Fingerprint-resistant, despite constantly opening and closing these doors, the light does not reflect and highlight fingerprints. The number of adjustable shelves which allow me to keep my drinks organized in the fridge and my different kinds of frozen meat/fish separate in the freezer. The adjustments allow me to fit different sized wine bottles and maximize the storage capacity. Samsung Hub access, allowing smart notifications. Controlling temperature. Sound notification when fridge is not closed all the way. Ice box being up top on the left side instead of in the freezer bin in a top and bottom fridge where you have to bend down and get ice. THe ice bin also can be easily removed to fill an entire cooler much more easily. It can also be remotely turned on and off by the samsung app.

This is a very beautiful, sleek fridge! No handles that stick out, just a clean, smooth finish. The Stainless Steel color is gorgeous and I love the fingerprint free coating. This is 5 to 6 cu ft larger than our old one. I stock both sided and still have room for more! I love the adjustable shelves, the sleek modern look as well as how well it works. It almost works too well! We haven't figured out "how to keep the freezer freezing so well," and the fridge keeping everything so ice cold! The main thing I miss is having the ice and water available from the door. It took way too long for me to remember this and stop going to the door to fill up!

But once you start using this it is a perfect fridge for any home. * Simple 2 door fridge with a lot of shelves and side storage racks. * Ice tray is on the left top door. * Adjustable shelves. * 3 baskets in the fridge to keep vegetables and fruits. * Fridge controls are inside behind the right door. * You can also control the temperature through the Samsung app. App also send you alerts if a door is not properly closed or ice tray is not placed back correctly. * This is my second fridge to keep in the basement for parties. Racks are perfect to keep soda and beers. * Fast cooling option to get drinks ready for the parties in no time. ** There is no side rack on the left door so don't worry if you see space there no part is missing. Same for the left side of the fridge as it looks like the basket is missing and the manual also shows like it has the basket but when you look at the actual colored pics on the site yous see there are no missing parts those slots are there so you can change the other shelves and rack to fir larger items.

after about a month, this model refrigerator broke and the panel is now flashing with error codes. we waited about a full week before buying groceries and now the refrigerator is full of stakes, fresh seafood and perishable food/ items. now we have to throw it all away. not sure when the technician will arrive and no idea if we have to wait months for parts!!!

I love the design and sleek look of this fridge and this is what drew me to the fridge in the first place. The doors are able to hold plenty of items as well as the interior of the fridge unlike my other fridges I have owned and I am able to see my items in the fridge better due to this bright LED light. . My favorite feature is the color that doesn't show finger prints and marks and this helps with the simple sleek design. There is also a 2 minute alarm that also goes off when the door is open and not completely closed, this feature has saved me from leaving my fridge open several times especially with having little ones in the house that can not shut it all the time. I love that the alarm is 2 minutes because my past one was a minute and that was way too short. We have also been able to use the flash power freeze option over the holidays making a special punch that use to require being in the freezer all night but with the flash freeze option on the fridge I am now able to make this punch just hours before the entertaining.

This fridge is gorgeous! The dark stainless steel color is perfect for my decor inside my home. From the outside of the fridge you cannot tell just how much space is available inside. One of the best things is how quiet it is. The fridge I had before emitted a constant hum, but this Samsung fridge is almost silent. The ice maker works great too. Being able to use the smart things app is a plus as well. I have already told all my friends and family about this fridge, and I'm pretty sure my brother has one on order.

This refrigerator took a while to be delivered and installed but it was definitely worth the wait. The appearance looks very sleek and modern. It does not look bulky like our prior refrigerator. It is also very roomy--we can put more items inside and with it not having a water dispenser like our old one, it creates more space for other items. I really like that it can be connected to wifi and I get a notification on my phone when the doors are open for too long. The ice maker is also very great. However my most favorite part of this fridge is that it has all around cooling and that I can easily control the temperature that I wanted using the ADA-compliant control. All over LED lighting is also a plus. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

First off, this fridge is amazing! I am beyond pleased and so excited that I was able to get this. The delivery and installation was easy also. I have needed a new fridge for almost a year. My old one was too small, plus it was slowly dying. I wanted one that of course, had a larger cu ft capacity, and more sleek and modern. Along came this gorgeous Samsung beauty! I chose this fridge for several reasons. It is very sleek, modern, and sophisticated at the same time. The black stainless steel is beautiful and does not show smudges or fingerprints- it is so easy to clean too! It is able to hold everything I need and then some. I even have room in the freezer to add more if needed which is a nice change. I also love the recessed handles in the doors. I actually love the design more than I thought I would. The controls are easy to read and use. This fridge reminds you if you've left the door(s) open, or didn't put the ice bucket back correctly. Very nice feature. The only con is that it freezes too well! I am still trying to figure out how to lower the temp. Right now, I clean the ice bucket out every 1 to 2 weeks to avoid having a frozen "block" of ice in the bucket. It is a nice change not having to worry about our food being cold enough. I am very, very happy with this. I have always loved Samsung products and will continue to purchase Samsung brand for my large and small appliance needs.

I recently bought a new house with a beautiful builder-supplied Whirlpool counter depth frig/freezer that perfectly matched the kitchen. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that its measly 21 cu. ft. (16 and 5) capacity wasn't big enough to really work with and I was constantly going to the store because I couldn't stage anything. Plus there was no room for beer, soda, or ice cream storage unless I wanted to keep all of the food out on the patio. So I bought this 28 cu. ft. Samsung for the garage. It's a beautiful appliance with a huge freezer and spacious refrigerator compartment that really makes meal planning much easier and there is room for beer, soda, and all the ice cream I can handle plus it makes far more ice than I need. My only complaint is that it tripped every code required ground fault interrupter that it was plugged into to include two brand new ones on dedicated circuits. Hmmmm. Should I keep refrigerator or be code compliant? No problem, I like the refrigerator far more than I like silly government rules. I replaced the GFI with a standard outlet and all is well with the world. I'm 69 years old and I'll let my son deal with the code when I'm dead and gone and he has to sell the place. In the mean time, I promise not to stand in a puddle of water when I open it to get a cold one. This is a really great purchase. There is a huge amount of space in both the freezer and refrigerator and it was actually relatively inexpensive for what you get. As an added benefit, if I forget to close it, it alarms to my phone. I almost forgot. this unit does a better job of keeping salads, fruits and vegetables fresh than any refrigerator that I have ever owned. If you don't need a counter-depth unit or a water dispenser, buy this.

I would certainly recommend this refrigerator BUT you should read on... We wanted a large refrigerator with vertically split doors. We didn't want an ice/water dispenser in the door because we rarely used it and considered it a waste of space. This Samsung is as far as we can see the only that meets this requirements. It's got a huge amount of room on the non freezer side. It's an excellent, well made refrigerator. NEGATIVE NOTES: - 1.) The ice is an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. The speed of making ice is OK, but not great. In addition, once full you will to hear it go on & off trying to make ice. Why doesn't it simply shut off. 2.) The cord during shipping is secured to the top of top with a SCREW!!! Yes, and you get a whole in your refrigerator. 3.) The help line while adequate is really slow. I would give it a 7.

Excellent Fridge but Plastic Removal is Awful!

We purchased this refrigerator to replace our garage GE from 1991 that finally died. Yes, it was actually from 1991 and finally stopped cooling a couple of months ago. GE doesn't make them like that anymore. After performing our research/due diligence, we decided to purchase the side-by-side Samsung. The black stainless steel is a great look and it only cost slightly more than the standard stainless steel. It is a large fridge but extremely quiet. Definitely be certain to check the dimensions to make sure it will fit where it will be installed if this is replacing a refrigerator in your kitchen. The monitoring through via the Wi-Fi app is great as it allows changing the temps by remote and can also alert the owner when a door is opened. The built-in controls are located on the right side of the door frame and display the current status of the fridge and freezer. We love the digital temperature readouts for the refrigerator and freezer. There are several storage bins on the inside of each of the fridge and freezer doors to allow immediate access to often used items. Shelves are not adjustable, except for one in the freezer which is only two position. Overall, it is a beautiful refrigerator. We give it 5 stars based on the product itself. However, I'm not sure if anyone else experienced the headache with the removal of the protective plastic. I told the techs that dropped it off not to worry and that I would handle it. I thought it would be easy to just tear it off myself; man I was wrong!!! There were plastic remnants hanging off the edges everywhere and when I tried to remove them it just got worse. I had to spend over an hour using a razor blade to try to cut it off cleanly. Still not perfect and I can see where there is still plastic is jammed in the seams of the doors. All this being said, it is a great refrigerator for the size, capabilities, and price.

This fridge holds everything we need, plus some. It has 28 cubic feet of space, so we never run out of space to organize our groceries. We have modern and sleek appliances through the rest of the kitchen, so this fits right in and gives our kitchen a seamless look. The finish is also fingerprint resistant, so it always looks nice and clean. With the all around cooling system feature, everything we buy stays safe and at the correct temperature. We regularly make smoothies for breakfast, so the indoor ice maker is a great feature. We are also a techy household, so being able to connect the refrigerator to our Smart Things app ensures we don't accidently leave the door open or miss a problem. The bright LED lighting inside gives us a great view of all our groceries anytime we want.

Modern and highly functional

We have 6 people in our home and finding items in the freezer was a nightmare! Now we can easily divide things by category. My mom loves organization! It also has an app so we can monitor the temp and our favorite....when the door is open! We have had fun yelling downstairs to close the fridge, which confused my Grandpa for about a week how we knew he was in there!! It's also has an alarm that goes off after 2 mins of the door being open! We are also able to set the temp of the fridge and freezer from our phones!! You can also remotely do a "Power Freeze" and "Power Cool" which is fantastic if you lose power an aren't home. You can monitor temp and do a faster cool down of needed, once power is back on. Another thing I love is how effortless and quietly the drawers open and close!! The lightning is magnificent! It illuminates the entire inside so you don't have dark areas and helps you to easily locate your items. The fingerprint resistant doors do seem to smudge and leave spots, marks but it is "resistant ", not "fingerprint proof". The design is sleek and modern which makes it the highlight of our older kitchen, but fits in perfectly and classes the place up. Oh, also, it is sooooo quiet! My family and I are loving our new refrigerator. Samsung has done it again!

This large capacity refrigerator keeps our family feed and organized. With 28 cubic feet of space we can keep a few extra groceries on hand for when friends and family visit. The modern look fits perfectly in our updated kitchen and the finish is fully resistant to fingerprints. The all around cooling system ensures everything is kept at the proper temperature and always safe to eat. The indoor ice maker is a great bonus as we lone having cold drinks and making fun frozen slushies. I have a French door Fridge as well, but they just don't compare to a normal side by side for ease of seeing what's in your Fridge and having bigger items stored without moving shelves. It is a perfect beer and frozen foods Fridge overall. I love the smart things app because I can check to see the temp without actually having to go outside and I know if someone accidentally left the door open because the alarm sounds off, which is super convenient. It stays frosty cold and the light is super bright to help me see in the dark garage. I can see everything in the fridge because the lights are bright from top to bottom, which helps when it starts to get full. Most importantly, the outside looks great. The stainless steel doesn't show fingerprints, which I thought was impossible, but you really don't see fingerprints. 10/10 would recommend it!

I am SO pleased with the purchase of the RS28A500ASG refrigerator. Sleek Beautiful is what I call my fridge. It is modern with a sleek appearance. The amount of space that it contains is amazing and makes organizing the food so much easier. It has plenty of shelves as well as the flat door design and the "hidden" handles makes the appearance of the fridge flow with the layout of my kitchen. The smudge proof / fingerprint resistant exterior is a BIG winner on this one as well. The few fingerprints that I have seen were so easy to remove with a dry cloth. The freezer is also spacious and has plenty of shelves and storage to store all of my frozen foods. I am SO pleased with the ice maker; it does not take up a lot of room and I love the detachable ice bucket! The interior lighting is a plus because it makes it very easy to see everything clearly. I am truly happy with this purchase.

This fridge took a while to be delivered but it's definitely worth the wait. My family loves it so much. It is very roomy and very functional. I especially like that the freezer is a lot deeper than my previous fridge and I can put a lot more items there. It also has a nice ice maker that doesnt take so much space. The refrigerator section is also roomy and have door shelves perfect for sauces, drinks, cheeses, etc. This refrigerator is also wifi compatible and can be controlled using the Smartthings app. I really like this feature because I get an alert when the door is left open. Also, it is a lot easier to control it using the ADA compliant control panel. We are very happy with this modern and sleek refrigerator. Other things I like about this refrigerator: the 2-min door alarm that lets me know that the door has been open for too long, the bright interior LED lights and the fingerprint resistance surface.

This refrigerator is wonderful! There is so much room and the convenient and see thru shelving makes it easy, even for the shortest in the house to see everything (which is me lol). I was leary about a side by side and how the freezer would actually work and I have to say, I am impressed. I have a spot for everything, it holds way more than my previous freezer and no more standing with the door open, digging! The lightning in both sides is great and the shelves are easy to clean. The refrigerator is sleek and modern looking and fits well in even an older kitchen. It really makes the kitchen look better! While it is fingerprint resistant, some will be noticeable but they are super easy to wash off. I recommend downloading the app right away so you can easily set the temperature. I did have trouble trying to adjust the temperature manually, inside of the fridge.

this is a great refrigerator/freezer with ample space. the lighting is terrific and it is easy to see what you have. i do not have a smart phone and will not use that capability but i am vey satisfied with this product.

Missing top cover of right door

i got the side-by-side refrigerator yesterday which looks good initially. but when i checked level at top, i noticed that right door missed its top cover while left door has its white top cover as the attached photo. i had to call samsung multiple times with super long waiting (10~30 minutes). i need to wait another call from the customer service agent because she needs to connect business center with me for whatever reason. too much wasting time and it's super hard to report the issue and get the missing part for the brand new refrigerator.

I purchased this for my new home, unfortunately I didn't measure before buying. So i had to return it. It is a beautiful modern refrigerator with a sleek look to it. It was spacious on the inside. Perfect for me because I couldn't connect it to a water line. Would have looked great with the rest of my black stainless Samsung appliances. Great price also!
