Ordered it 9/06/24. Waited and waited for shipping info. After calling customer service I told it was on back order and would be shipped on 9/18. That came and went. Called again and after 45 minutes got a new sipping date of 9/23. 9/23 can and went. After several negative reviews I kept being to reach out to LG on social media and they would be glad to help which I did. I kept getting the standard we are working on your issue and please be patient. Then I was told my case was forwarded to there Presidential Liaison for resolution. Then a week later I get a message asking if I would accept a $200 allowance for my troubles. I provided a response and heard nothing back. Then after 2 more weeks I finally got a call from shipping company RXO and set up a delivery date for their next available date which was a week later. The day before delivery RXO calls me and says sorry its been delayed again and then set up for 10/14. So now its been 38 days since I placed my order. In the mean time LG ran a special for the same TV for cheaper than what I paid and a free T90 sound bar. Well seeing as I didnt receive the TV yet I reached back out on social media which is weird thats how a multi billion dollar company wants you to speak to them and asked if they would honor the new promo and credit my payment the difference and send me the soundbar and if they couldnt do that could they cancel my order so I can reorder at new price and promo before it ends. sounds reasonable right? Wrong Heard nothing for days and conveniently a day after promo ends. I get a message we processed your cancellation request and still waiting from higher ups to see if they would honor promotion. Wait what? So you cancelled my original order without knowing if I would get the promotional price and free soundbar first. Then Shipping company says they received a cancellation request and wont be delivery TV anymore. Now 38 days later I have no TV I made a payment on credit card I used when I placed my order and have nothing to show for it. To top it off just checked my credit card statement and still have a $4000 charge and havent received refund and another payment is due in a week. Its been a total nightmare and I just cant believe LG treats their customers like this. I wouldnt have ever guessed LG would make me feel scammed and miserable. So still no answers and keep getting you case is still being reviewed and please give us patience. Im sooo sick of that and the fact you cant actually talk to anyone that can offer real solutions is frustrating and unacceptable. So now I have reached out to my local news station in Chicago to request they do a story about this experience. Especially because as I have read MANY other reviews I am not the only one that has had experiences like this with LG. Once I told them I have all the messages and screenshots of communications with LG they are very interested and we have now set up an interview for next week to be interviewed for their buyer beware segment they do once a week.

Excitement..........Disappointment......Frustation

I ordered the TV back September 28 and got a great deal. I was able to get the 77 Lg g4 with the S90TR soundbar for $3000 + tax. I hit the jackpot. Thats how I felt when I placed the order. I received a delivery date of Oct 5. Handy guys coming the same day. I have to be home and not do overtime which is worth it given how excited I am for my new entertainment setup. Received the TV around 11am. RXO the delivery partner was very careful with the TV. Box looked good. Now all I have to do is wait for the TV Mounting appointment by Handy. I was scheduled for 5:30pm with two people coming to mount the TV. Around 4:30 one of the handy guys came in he was very unprofessional and was rushing and also dont want to wait for the other guy Lets name him HANDY1. He started working on the wall mount. It took him a lot of trial and error HANDY1 put a lot of holes on my wall. I kept asking him if we should wait for the other guy lets name him HANDY2 HANDY1 replied no need Im saving him a lot of stress. HANDY1 also came to the point that he started using a HAMMER for the wall mount. After some time he was able to install the wall mount. Shows me that its good while pulling the wall mount with his weight. After that he started unboxing the TV it got messy. Then he asked me to help him with the TV instead of waiting for HANDY2. We were not able to install the TV on the wall mount because I saw that the wall mount was already coming lose with just one side on the mount. He started to panic and went to the middle of the TV to support the TV.--- Please remember this part. We lifted it off the mount and put it on the couch. After that he started to fiddle with the wall mount again to make sure it is secure and properly installed. After that we are able to mount the TV. I plugged it in put batteries on the remote and voila the TV wont turn on. After that HANDY1 left didnt even wait for my TV to work seems like he was rushing to get out of my house. A couple minutes later HANDY2 arrived he told me that they are not supposed to leave until they make sure the TV is working. He helped me with trying to get the TV to turn on. We called customer service and got instructions from them that can make the TV to work. It was unsuccessful then the rep told us that the TV needs to be sent back and they will send a replacement. Then the rep transferred the call to the returns/replacement department it was already closed that day this was past 6pm on Oct 5 Saturday. Called customer service again and the rep said to call again tomorrow. After that knowing that I have to send the TV back HANDY2 and I removed the TV from the wall and boxed the TV again. HANDY2 was very professional. He also said we dont need to remove the wall mount from the wall. After that HANDY2 left. Later that night I was doing research on how I can be able to turn the TV ON so I dont have to wait for a replacement. I found one so I tried to remove the outer box of the TV I wasnt able to do the method that I found online because I cant get to the TVs power button as it was at the bottom center part of the TV inside the base styrofoam. After that I decided to put the outer box on but before I was able too I noticed that the TV has a CRACK on the screen at the top middle part and I remembered thats where HANDY1 held the TV when he panicked maybe that is why he was in a hurry to leave. But then again Im just speculating at this point. Who knows maybe the TV already had that crack and was also the reason why it wasnt turning on. Now the TV is boxed again. I called the return department again the next day Sunday like the customer service rep said. It is closed. I gave up and just waited for Monday. The next day I contacted the return department again 844810-0070. I was able to talk to somebody and started the process for the return and replacement. I was told to wait 7-10 business days. I asked 7-10 business days for what? for the new TV to be delivered?. The rep wasnt really giving me anything concrete whether the 7-10 business days is for the TV to arrive or for the courier to call me on scheduling the TV delivery date. I have waited 7 days to get the TV and now I have to wait for 7-10 more not knowing if that additional 7-10 is when the replacement is going to be delivered or Im just waiting 7-10 days more for an update on when the replacement will be delivered. Can we get this expedited? I want my TV as soon as possible please it has been very frustrating and very stressful dealing with this. Hope I can get some real help and get another TV to me as soon as possible and also schedule a real professional on mounting the TV because honestly I do not trust HANDY1s work. And if I cant get another TV in the next few days Ill just get a refund and get a TV elsewhere and you guys can just pick up the TV and the soundbar. Im sorry for this long experience/review/venting. It has just been mentally draining and stressful. Also I did not give HANDY1 any kind of review because I just want to be safe. To whoever is reading or will be reading this I am not saying do not trust LG all I want is for LG to step up. Please. I will be updating this depending on how LG takes care of this case.

Slow Ethernet Port

1995 Network Technology. OK this is a beautiful $5000 OLED 2024 Tehnological masterpiece.. So why is it saddled with a 30 year old 100Mbps ethernet port? WiFi will ALWAYS be less stable and slower than hard wired network connections so why the dependency on wireless networking? I prefer my streaming without buffering and dropouts so Ill pass on this set and other ilk of this TV generation until the product managers and designers get around to including at least a 1 Gb port on these TVs.

Expensive Wall Art Dead on Arrival

tl dr: recommend buying elsewhere poor customer service delays with delivery repair/replacement Purchased 8/16 given arrival date 9/3 confirmed twice that I would be there. Made plans with professionals to install that weekend. On 9/2 receive emails/texts saying it will not be available for delivery until 9/10. Ok minor inconvenience reschedule the install for next available 9/21 but should be available by NFL week 3. TV arrives 9/10 sits in box for 1.5 weeks. Install recessed media box outlets and mount. TV taken out of box and mounted within 5 minutes plugged in and panel wont turn on just 4 flashing red lights on the bottom indicator. Tried multiple outlets reset breakers unplugged HDMIs tried power reset replacement of remote batteries - no dice. Call LG support immediately and make claim told a technician will contact me within 24-48 hours. No call by 72 hrs so I call back with a new agent. Im told my TV is out of warranty because its been beyond 30 days since purchase to which I explained the TV arrived 3.5 weeks after my order. I asked on the status of a technician but first had to go through all the checklist of troubleshooting recommendations what Id already tried from online. This included making me take off the plastic film from the panel which I dont fully understand and being repeatedly told to change the input on the screen despite my explanation the panel didnt work. I was asked to submit photos of the entire TV. After more than an hour with several holds I was offered to refund/replace the TV or get a repair which didnt make sense because the initial agent told me a repair technician would be coming. Anyway I asked which would be quicker. The representative chuckled and said she couldnt say but that I should call another LG phone number to discuss my options. I asked if I replaced it would LG pick up the non-functional TV and she was not sure. I opted for setting up a repair now second time to which I was told I had to dismount the TV back into the box for the technician to work on it and that any damage would not be covered under warranty. I was not given an appointment but told to wait within the next few weeks for a call to schedule. So now we have a mounted TV that doesnt work that has to be dismounted and re-boxed after taking nearly a month to arrive and professionals to mount with no timetable on a repair and no guarantee a repair will fix the issue. I have been with LG OLED for 5 years without issues but this has been a major disappointment especially for a flagship model that youd think would have QC. The TV is probably wonderful but its been nearly six weeks since our order and I cant comment on it. Now we have to wait on an available technician who might say it needs to be replaced anyway which will take even longer. Talking to customer service has felt like being a nuisance instead of a customer and it doesnt feel like they are organized. Still waiting for any type of movement or shipping information. Ordered the TV 16 days ago and nothing. Already posted a review stating my frustration over not receiving it yet or it even being shipped. Got the standard We value your business and Reach out to us on social media so we can help you. I did and all I basically got was Sorry but too bad so sad it should be shipped to delivery company in the next couple days. Well that was a week ago and still nothing. Just know the reply that they give people saying they want to help address the issues that people post is all nonsense to make it look like they give a crap about you in front of other potential customers doing research and reading reviews. They are quick to take your money but not to ship your purchase. Most large merchants would offer you something for your problems and inconvenience you are having that are not at ALL your doing and all their logistical and customer service issues. But No. All they give you is thats just the way it is and keep on waiting. I will never order form LG site again and probably not purchase another LG product if this is how you are treated when it comes to customer service and satisfaction. Like I said before I have a full LG kitchen and 2 LG TVs and Sound system. But I always purchased from a big box store. Man did I make a mistake this time.

This review is not necesssarily for the TV as we havent installed it yet. However the ordering through LG is absolutely the worst experience in my entire life. Communication is poor tracking of your order is poor and the Handy installation is a scam. Just know if you order a TV from LG it will take weeks to arrive and you will be installing it yourself like I am about to do. I sure hope their OLED technology is good because their order process and call center in India is terrible.

I was doing all my research online looking to purchase my first OLED TV. Then in wound up on LGs website. I began looking at the 77 C4. Then I stumbled onto G4 77 TV. Even though it was significantly more then the C4 after all my research I felt it was worth the extra money. So then I figured Id go to Best Buy or ABT Electronics to buy it and get it right away since they have them in stock. But then I saw LG was offering a free set of ear T80 ear buds with the order and the delivery time was 4-5 days from when I placed order. Im also a loyal LG customer as I have a Full LG kitchen and 2 other LG TVs. So I figure I can wait a little bit longer and utilize the free in-home delivery LG offered save the hassle of going to pick it up myself and get a free $150 set of ear buds. Well was I mistaken. The second I hit Place order I knew this wasnt going to go a smooth as I thought. Why? You may ask. Well the estimated delivery changed to Nov 30th which would be almost 3 months later. I thought thats weird must be a glitch. But as days went on I noticed it wasnt updating delivery date. The order kept saying the same Nov 30th date and awaiting tracking information and call customer service to schedule new date. I then received the free earbuds in a few days after I placed the initial order but still no update on TV delivery date. So I finally called and spoke to a representative who said that the TV was on Back order but not to worry because it would be shipping in the next couple days. So I figured ok no big deal I can wait another couple days. Well just received a call saying it is delayed another 2 1/2 weeks I was hoping to have the TV for a birthday gathering Im having in a few more days so people could watch the football games which would have been13 days after I placed the order Figured would have been plenty of time to have it delivered and mounted. I dont know how the LG site and the first representative I spoke to could be so wrong. When you order direct from the manufacturer youd think they would have the most current and best information on the availability of their own product. Especially when purchasing one of their flagship products for over $4000. I just called my local Best Buy and ABT electronics and they both stated they have that TV instock for immediate purchase and pick up if I wanted. So I dont understand why LG reach out to none of those stores to have it delivered on their behalf. This is so frustrating and wish I would have took the other reviews that I read on LGs website about delivery delays more seriously. So as of now I still have no idea when the tv will be arrive and have come to terms it wont be in time for my birthday party. Thanks LG for your disappointing logistical system and misinformed customer representatives. I would hope you can make this right some way and look forward to someone with actual true information and ability to make things right reached out to me very soon.

Visually strong audibly weak and poor service

The LG G4 displays exceptional visuals whether used for movies games or general viewing. The sound produced by the panel is disappointing although many will supplement their panel with additional audio equipment to improve their listening experience. I have owned previous LG flagship OLEDs and this one improves upon prior models but only modestly. Lastly I feel it important to note that my experience having my 2024 G4 OLED order fulfilled by LG was unacceptably poor. A purchase that was supposed to be delivered in 3 days instead took a month. During this time LG consistently demonstrated that they are unable to fulfill customer orders timely update customers on what they may expect and take accountability for issues in their order fulfillment process. If you do decide to purchase a G4 OLED I recommend that you purchase through a reseller that is better equipped to fulfill the order in an efficient professional manner.

Current owner of an earlier high end LG OLED 65W7P. It was time to upgrade to the new G4 and go up a size. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately as great as everything is about this TV it does deserve a soundbar or better speakers that would normally be found in just about any home theatre system. If I could change one thing about this TV would be a better metal case backlit remote control. Other than that...A perfect TV.

Purchased the G4 77 and then later purchased the accompanying soundbar. Got an email for the purchase of the tv. Stated I would be contacted for delivery and installation. Was contacted for neither. I emailed the company and they did not respond until two weeks after the delivery. Only one of the two installers showed up and installed the TV crooked and with wires showing. Had to shell out $250 to get pros to come in and do it. Mean time I order the soundbar. It was supposed to be delivered 8/30/24. Same thing no calls about delivery. I have called and emailed. No response from email. Operator was nice but could only tell me it is still in the LG warehouse even though it was supposed to be delivered last week. Upshot is the TV is nice but there are a lot of nice TVs for this price with much better companies.

The TV is nice but ordering through the LG website is a terrible process. Numerous delays in the item after having to be present for them to deliver. I got charged for the free Handy delivery that was part of the promotion and customer service refused to refund the amount. Also after each delay in the item you have to reschedule the mounting yourself. If I had to purchase again would consider going with Best Buy and Geek squad as Ive done previously. If you have any issues expect to be on the phone with LG multiple times.

I bought my first LG TV about 8 years ago I finally upgraded to the 77 inch G4 and let me tell you this is the best TV that I have ever seen. I spent way too much time looking into all the new offerings and the G4 always came on top. The picture quality is outstanding the design is beautiful. 4k Dolby Vision looks phenomenal. This is the one to get no need to wait on anything else.

The picture is great. The brightness is excellent. The 77 size works perfectly for my 40 x 30 room. The wall bracket does not fit as close to the wall as I thought it would--- it is not totally flush. Additionally it has a slight forward tilt from the top of the TV. The LG installation person complained about the bracket and hanging hardware. He chose to use some personal bolts because he felt the bolts that came with the bracket and TV were too small. The customer service was horrible I spent over 20 hrs. on the phone with LG customer care people who made me feel like they did NOT care just trying to get my order correct because LG somehow mistakenly canceled the delivery. It ended taking a month for me to receive my TV instead of a week. It is difficult to express just how poor the customer service was. Emails went unresponded to for weeks. Text messages went days without reply. Promised return calls were not returned. I was made countless promises which were not honored. I was mistakenly hung up on multiple times. If it wasnt for the fact that I promised my wife I would get her this TV I would have gone with another brand a long time ago.

Infuriating to use in a Home Theater

Picture Quality of this TV is outstanding. User interface is lackluster and quite cluttered requiring you to dig through settings to turn things off. HDMI-CEC implementation is horrendous to the point that I am not able to route devices through my home theater receiver. To get audio from TV apps requires HDMI ARC which forces CEC on. If you disable CEC it changes audio to TV speakers and disables ARC. Because CEC comes on at will it tries to take control of other devices attached to the receiver. After almost a full day of troubleshooting audio problems related to CEC and ARC I am at the point of returning the TV.

The TV is exceptional we upgraded from an LG E* 65OLED TV the picture quality of this TV is best in class. All I would say is that just dont buy direct from Lg.com thats the only reason for low stars I wish I could give -5 to customer service. First they didnt ship the TV mount then they said the Installation wasnt part of the order which was clearly included. Then they shipped a refrigerator handle as a replacement part instead of the mount. Yes Seriously. and they still havent resolved the $100 gift card. 8 emails to customer service - Zero response you will just keep calling and get no meaningful response from customer service

First off this TV is incredible and using the included mount sits nearly flush to the wall. The picture quality is top notch and even made me upgrade my Blu-Ray player to take advantage of the new OLED display. The TVs OS is blazing fast and quick to load app. I would highly recommend the OLED Evo G4 if youre in the market for a new TV.

This is my first LG TV. Ive historically been a Sony guy. I was comparing LG G4 against Sony Bravia 8 OLED vs LG C4 vs last years C3/G4. I was able to find a Best Buy that had the LG G4 LG G3 LG C4 and the Sony Bravia 8 all on display. The brightness difference alone between the LG C4 and LG G4 was night and day. The G4 was the clear winner between all of these models. I was hesitant on an OLED even though I really wanted one as I have a very bright room with 12 slider so need a bright TV. The G4 so far is holding up. It is an expensive TV and more than I would have liked to spend but you get what you pay for. I would have liked the mount to be a bit more wider and flexible as it is just wide enough to hit two studs and studs never line up to where you want TV centered. I have upper recessed power and a Smurf tube but still not able to get fully flush to wall. If you want truly flush to wall like Samsung frame you will need to have your power/HDMI/etc. follow the recessed channels and go out the bottom of TV. If not the gap between TV and wall will be however thick your HDMI is. As far as LG in home delivery the date you select at checkout may not be accurate. I selected a date that was not the first available and still had to wait past my selected date for it to arrive at local last mile delivery company RXO. It would be nice to have a bit more detailed information on order status and delivery. I called support as well and they could not confirm where it was so I was a bit nervous. Not related to LG or TV but I took advantage of the included free installation service by Handy. Ive always mounted myself but since was included decided to give it a shot since special mount. This is a third party service and will vary drastically depending on your location. They were supposed to send two people due to size but only one showed up so I had to do majority of the work. It was nice to have an extra pair of hands especially as it is a heavy TV 80+ lbs.

77 model delivered on 7/23 after paying over 4K. Broken right out of the box. Never worked and ordered directly from LG.com. To make matter worse there was a typo in my email address which they apparently have no way of correcting. A repair was set up for 7/25 took the day off and later that day I get a call saying that the repair technician is going to simply order parts a new screen motherboard and power supply so he can fix it. Said parts were in stock and would take a week to arrive. Its now over a week later called the repair technician yesterday but never got a response. Called LG Customer Service probably handled by a foreign call center and advised technician is waiting on parts and it would be at least another week. That makes it 9 days already with a non-functioning tv and huge box in living room. TV is total rubbish and junk but worse LG customer service is terrible. I doubt I will ever order another TV from LG but recommend never ever ever purchasing directly from LG. Will purchase my next TV from a reputable local store. Fool me for having found an online 200$ discount beyond the online sale price. Not worth it. Avoid LG like the plague.

Moving up from a Sony 55 OLED to this 77 LG G4 OLED was huge leap in picture quality and gaming performance. - HDR and Dolby Vision is absolutely amazing. Color reproduction in Filmmaker DV is spot on. - 120Hz DV capability on each HDMI port is a game changer. Gaming with XBOX Series X and PS5 work beautifully. - The AI improvements to SD content makes low quality video feeds look fantastic. The LG G4 is probably the best OLED purchase in 2024.

I love this TV. It is literally the best TV money can buy right now. I weighted my decision on the 77 vs 83 for a while but eventually decided the price hike for 6 inches wasnt worth it because it isnt all that noticeable unless they are side by side. Happy to say a month later Im thrilled with my choice as I used those funds to purchase a sound system instead and now the Dolby Vision + Atmost combination is definitely far more worth it than the additional 6 inches. You wont be disappointed in this purchase HOWEVER STAY AWAY FROM HANDY and LG INSTALLATION. Their mounting service was abysmal. I purchased this during a promotion where it was $100 off which was worth it but the free mounting and the included mount are useless. Handy did not show up the day of and they told me they could reschedule after I was excited about my TV and stayed home from work to be there. Not to mention the reviews on Handy were terrible. These agents were both unprofessional and previous others experience made me nervous so I got a local guy to do it and I was much happier for it even though it was out of pocket expense. When spending this much for a TV I cant justify cheaping out on the installation. Not to mention the mount that comes with the TV is small so if your mount location is not center it will not work and TV will not be centered. For this reason I needed to buy another mount that allowed me to center the tv because the mount itself was slide-capable. TLDR - TV is great dont rely on included mount or mounting service provided by LG installation.

I purchased my G-4 77 inch OLED during the Memorial Day sale. It was delivered in perfect condition. Unfortunately I had to find a stand for my unit that was not in stock with LG. Bottom line this tv picture is just outstanding and very bright. I love movies and the upscaling of DVD and Blu-ray is superb. Samsung upscaling cant touch this TV. If you a movie purist who wont settle for nothing but the best in picture quality the G-4 is for you

Im glad I decided to upgrade from my 2017 LG OLED to the 2024 LG OLED G4 The picture quality is amazing I spent the whole night setting it up and playing around with the features I especially love the filmmaker mode and turned the auto filmmaker mode on. Its definitely brighter from my 2017 model especially being in a well lit living room. As of now I have a Samsung sound bar but thinking of pairing this amazing OLDED TV with LGs sound bar to have the ultimate viewing and hearing experience I highly recommend this product

After having a great product and support experience with my 55 B6 OLED for 7 years we decided to upgrade to the 77 G4 in order to improve the aesthetic of our living room with the flat mount/hidden cable installation. The upgraded size and picture quality is obviously a bonus although we did not expect to be blown away by the massive improvement in quality. The brightness level of this TV is perfect for our living room with several skylights and windows. The motion processing is leaps and bounds better at keeping the picture smooth even during horizontal panning. eARC appears to work much more consistently and we have not had any drop outs LG Magic remote works for our Apple TV 4K and Samsung 5.1. Now that the overwhelming positive stuff is noted lets talk about what needs improvement. We find that our Apple TV is not receiving a 5.1 surround signal on the first boot of our setup. We need to turn off the TV which powers down the Apple TV and Samsung 5.1 theater-in-a-box then turn back on. 5.1 works perfectly on the 2nd boot up. We have tried different settings included quick boot options on our Samsung equipment forcing 5.1 only though Apple TV and testing surround directly through the Samsung equipment which works until we switch back to the Apple TV. This seems to be an eARC issue that is solved with a dedicated home theater receiver but we are not willing to invest thousands in that to fix something that should work out of the box flawlessly. Additionally the updated LG Magic Remote does not have a dedicated play/pause button like previous versions. Not sure why something like this would be removed. There is a digital remove menu you can access on screen and you can also use the center wheel to play/pause but some apps do not play nice with the center wheel Disney+ for example. It is also not obvious to those who are unfamiliar with a Magic Remote and expect Play/Pause buttons like every remote in existence. Overall we are extremely pleased with the purchase and would do it again. Friends and family have remarked how impressive the picture quality is and are now seriously considering the LG G-series for their next TV. This is the best TV on the market at the best price point. Yes it is more expensive than mini LED but for good reason. The black levels color accuracy HDMI 2.1 options reliability and warranty are unmatched. There is a reason other manufacturers use LG OLED panels for their own product lines.

Image is amazing. Super bright image but darks arent crushed. Really enjoyable. Plenty of inputs and settings per-input make setup really customizable. Film maker mode really simplifies the tuning of the picture. Previous TV needed a crib sheet to do the setup with so many individual customizations to get the TV dialed in.

Amazing image quality. Really easy to set up and calibrate there are guides online as to various optimal settings for SDR HDR and Dolby Vision content. I didnt think Id like WebOS but its not as bad as I had originally feared and I actually really enjoy the magic remote overall especially for scrolling through streaming content. Its a huge upgrade and looks really beautiful when mounted and can get extremely bright.
