Purchased this dvd player from Walmart not realizing that it requires additional CyberLink software or firmware in order to work. No support available. DO NOT BUY Im out $26 + tax.

Failed to write MID CODE CMC MAG-D03-64 DVD+R D/L

15 Mar 2024 GP63EX70 Just purchased at Walmart today. First burn attempt is a total failure with Titan Taiwan branded DVD+R D/L 8.5GB MID CODE CMC MAG-D03-64 disc. This GP63EX70 wouldnt even start the write process. Disc incessantly spun up and spun down. I had to pull the USB plug to stop it. My other LG burners have no problems with these discs. There is no specific firmware exe for this model so I used the LG supplied AutoFirmware Updater and it reported no new firmware. So drive is a failure for me because its a DVD Writer that can not write DVDs.

LG DVD Writers not found by Windows 10 no support

This is the second LG DVD Writer I have tried that is not recognized by my Windows 10 desktop. I go though the Windows troubleshooting to no avail and there doesnt seem to be any software support for it here. Wasted my money...again....Wont be buying any more LG products.

GP63EX70 Not working new out of the box

Out of the box not working. Windows 10 indicates it exists. But does not work. Tried to reinstall drivers indicates drivers are up to date. NO DRIVER support for this product on LG Website. Going with a different product and company.

Did not work the first time.

Did not work the first time I used it. It played DVDs and CDs fine but it couldnt copy anything at all. It seemed to be copying well for about 40 of the DVD then Id get errors. It wasnt the DVD. The DVD was new and it failed on several different new DVDs. It wasnt the software. Ive used that software for years. I bought it about a month ago from Walmart. Walmart refunded it.
