But IÕm on the third service call in three years. The control panel keeps failing and IÕve been afraid to use the self/cleaning feature.

I have wanted a commercial grade gas stove for a long time now. We went with this stove due to the pricing and the min to max burners. I made the mistake and thought all the burners were min to max and I also thought it came with a griddle insert. It only has two min to max burners. They operate amazing. The rest of the burners are also great. Lots of room to cook. They start up nicely. The oven is huge, which means it requires some more time to heat up (electric). I purchased a probe from a local kitchen store for $20 as I noticed a lot of the other stoves include a probe. I like the fact there in no clock or digital screen. We get tons of complements. It takes about ten minutes to clean the stove top, but that's any gas stove from my experience. Nothing to complain about other than I think they could have included the Griddle Insert and should have min to max burners for all 6 burners. Also we were able to convert it to propane without any issues.

The house we purchased in 2011 came the Electrolux ICON appliances including this gorgeous looking range. In the first year, we had several service calls to replace the control board that malfunctioned after the first self-clean cycle and for adjustment of the burners. Unlike the rest of the ICON appliances that we had to replace fir to major failures and multiple service calls Ñ the very quiet dishwasher that did an OK job, but leaked twice and flooded our hardwood floor, the side-by-side fridge that had temp control and air circulation issues and a useless wine/beverage cooler that took up tons of space, didnÕt store much and made a lot of noise, this range lasted 8 years, but now needs more in repairs than it is worth so we are finally replacing it. I might have spent the money on the repairs, however IÕve burned my arms and wrists too many times on the luxury glide racks that donÕt glide and arenÕt very luxurious since they donÕt work, the uneven oven racks that wonÕt maintain a level state at different temps so making cakes provides an extra challenge and the unpredictability, as others have noted, regarding the temp of the oven, in any baking or roast mode, being a mystery.

I bought the stove for my new home about eight years ago. Here is a list of the problems youÕve had with the stove. In addition to our Knobs becoming worn out like a previous reviewer the following have occurred. Our starter broke on the stove within about a year after we purchased it, the self-cleaning function door closer gear has broken at least three times on us finally we decided to leave it alone as the new service call we just had said they arenÕt able to repair it unless we change out the board. The broiler is now not working and we have another service call scheduled for this sat. IÕve put up with trying to repair since this is a $5K stove brand new and should last more than 10 years. We probably cook more than most people, but there is no reason this stove should have so many issues. The gears on the self closing mechanism for cleaning are plastic and technician recommended we purchase a Wolf for the next stove, but they are $10K. I guess $5K is not enough to buy a professional stove these days!

I bought this range in 2013 and although the cooking experience has been generally good, the control knobs have cheap screen printing . Despite only cleaning gently with mild dishsoap almost all of the markings have come off the stove knobs - really on a stove of this price I have to guess the temperature and setting because of a cheap part. All the other components on the stove are raelly heavy high quality pieces spoilt by cheapo knobs
