I bought this cooktop about two months ago to replace an old avacado one (ca. 1970). The new one was easy to install and appears to be every bit as sturdy as the one I was replacing. The coils come up to heat quickly and cool down quickly as well. The knobs/settings are a bit different than the old one and I'm still adjusting to the relative heat levels which are a bit higher than the old one (which was about 50 years old).

I bought this cook top to replace a similar one. It was easy to install. The finish is very thin and scratches easily.

From the very first week this 32' stainless steel range top has had significant issues with its finish being stained from boiled noodles to being scratched irreparably from the silver drip trays under each burner. The manager from the Spenser's store I bought it from, even came out to help remove the stains (from stainless steel) and was successful but the scratches are no good on an appliance that is only 3 weeks old. So now we had to order another stove top on with black porcelain finish and remove this old (new) top. A real hassle. The manager Patrick has been nothing but helpful and kind and so far I really appreciate that.Lorraine Hanson
