Gaggenau….My Experience

Gaggenau. Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t. Gaggenau is a super premium brand of appliances that I was invited to experience in California this week.

Gaggenau is a 333 year old German company that has manufactured and engineered everything from bridges that still stand in Germany and bicycles, to what is now an elite palette of appliances that will make you re-think and re-imagine how you view your kitchen and cook in it. Everything you think you know, throw it out. Whether this makes you feel brave and excited, or intimidated and nervous ,we need to talk. Soon.

They have an entire family suite of kitchen pieces that perfectly complement each other and not just because they match. Every brand has its own unique look, feel, quality level, and functionality. Gaggenau’s sleek, sensual design with its glass over stainless is the answer to pairing professional, consistent, chef inspired results, with design elements that complement seamlessly with any style you can dream up. It’s style is classy and understated, beautiful with brains and brawn.

Gaggenau is sleek, sexy, soft, and artistic on the outside…bold, impressive, professional, chef-grade results on the inside. It’s the perfect combo of looks and power. It’s gorgeous AND serious about cooking.

They make all of their products with the exception of their under-counter wine preservation system. Their philosophy? If you want it done right, engineer and make it yourself. And it works. The quality and attention to detail from the patented porcelain on the outside of their ovens (for stability), their seemingly endless accessories (that easily move from one product to another), their modular pieces (teppan yaki, in counter steam, in counter fryer, in counter wok induction, etc) can create a cooking experience like no other. Healthy, easy, tasty, creative, and easy clean up….all come together to create a mind altering cooking experience. You’ll never look at cooking the same way again.

They are the only brand that offers an induction wok cooking module. I’ve seen it in action using a Gaggenau wok (yet another optional accessory) and I am amazed. And since I’m back to accessories, one of my personal favorites is the Gastronorm roaster. It’s a non stick, cast aluminum pan with a lid that can be used in their wall ovens, steam ovens, and on their induction cooktops. You can sear right in it (in the base OR the lid), cook a whole recipe right in it, or bake a casserole (or whatever you can dream up), making it easy to do truly one pan cooking. Do it all right in one vessel!! They work hard to carry that mantra through their whole product line.

They’ve created their product line based on advice from chefs because they feel at-home chefs should have the same advantages and consistent results achieved by professional chefs in professional kitchens. We spent two days cooking on these products and the results added significantly to our waistlines and delighted our taste buds!

There is SO much we need to talk about and since we have a live Gaggenau kitchen in our showroom you must stop in so we can play and get creative in it. I’d love to pass on my new-found love and appreciation for an elite culinary experience and culture….Gaggenau. You’ll never look at cooking the same way again.

AACoffeeBeans*Classic-Coffee-Consumption* C-C-C at its Finest

When you think about coffee what’s the first thing that comes to mind? It very well may be Starbucks, but for me it’s all about the bean! There are many roasts to choose from along with many local coffee bean companies around Orlando. Fresh beans equal fresh, delicious coffee. We here at Aggressive Appliances have several built-in machines that provide you that personalized “get going” cup.

Miele built-in coffee systems friendly usage make it easy to take you through many options to get that fresh cup of Joe. Every “coffee head” is after that perfect cup! The Miele machine also offers a color option and can come plumbed or non-plumbed.

Wolf, Gaggenau, Thermador, Jenn-Air, and Bosch all offer these types of built-in products as well. It seems pretty simple and, in my opinionated taste buds, much more spectacular as compared to Starbucks and others. These units fit perfect in your customized kitchens, morning bars, guest suites, etc. So why not savor a fresh brewed cup, save yourself money, and make your personalized coffee before you take off in the mornings? That’s the question. We can help you explore your answer…AAChefJohnCoffee

Cuckoo for Gaggenau

GeraldGaggenauIt was an early Thursday morning in mid-December at Aggressive when a taxi pulled up and out jumped Gerald from Germany with a carry-on full of tools. Gerald had just arrived by way of his last stop in Newark, New Jersey, to personally install our Gaggenau kitchen. He is THE installer who travels the world installing Gaggenau appliances along with the fine cabinetry surrounding this super premium brand. With speed and precision and the assistance of Eric on our team he completed our kitchen in three days. He stopped only to refuel on rich coffee.

We were all quite excited as the room started to come together.  The kitchen features some of the world’s finest appliances nestled among impressive cabinetry and a wall panel accent piece imported from the Black Forest of Germany. And what fine kitchen would be complete without a genuine, German cuckoo clock? Yes, there is even a cuckoo clock.

The background canvas chosen to highlight Gaggenau’s super premium product line does it justice. The sleek lines, minimalist controls, artistic images, fine materials, and textures used in the creation of Gaggenau appliances have a distinctive flavor that you have to see, touch, and experience to truly understand.

The gourmet at-home chef that is looking to design their kitchen haven around this product line already knows Gaggenau. We are just here to ooh and ahh along with you and show it off…..Gaggenau-2If you’d like a personal tour just be sure to come near the hour so you can watch and listen to the clock go off where I would swear you get secretly transported into a cooking fantasy land where delicious recipe magic is sure to happen.

More Than Words

gaggenau-logoGaggenau. I’ve mentioned the name a few times to a few people outside of my industry with looks of “Huh?” But those who know Gaggenau, know Gaggenau. This super premium brand, with exceptional quality and styling, is worth knowing about. The design, while not for everyone, may just be yours. If it is you’ll recognize it immediately. Gaggenau2 The sleek design, innovation, quality, and artistry of Gaggenau has always caught my eye. The attention to detail and craftsmanship in their built-in cooking products, refrigeration line, ventilation, and dishwashers are a true reflection of their premium status in the appliance industry. I could tell you that the ovens have doors that never get hotter than 65 degrees on the outside. I could tell you that their built-in cooktops have knobs that are integrated into countertops creating seamless countertop views. I could tell you that you can combine a variety of cooktops to create a custom cooking combination.Gaggenau2__1807_x_1357_-1438x1080 I could tell you how the refrigerators disappear in a kitchen but have stainless steel interiors, precision temperatures, and are the quietest in their class. I could tell you that BSH, the parent company of Gaggenau, Thermador, and Bosch, with Gaggenau being the top of their lines, produce their dishwashers. Yes, that kind of quality. Gaggenau1 But talking and telling rarely translate to the actual experience. Seeing the product, turning the knobs, feeling the weight and sturdiness of the doors, viewing the lighting, touching the materials used to manufacture their product, that’s when you know Gaggenau. There are some things that don’t require words. Gaggenau is one of them.
