Very fast powerful induction cooktop

I have had this GE Profile 36 induction cooktop for 2 days and my family and I are absolutely amazed how strong, fast and powerful this cooktop is. Pasta water for instance takes no time to boil and then Italian pasta cook perfectly at level 7. The frying pan gets hot and ready very quickly and the steaks are delicious, perfectly cooked. The size of this cooktop is perfect for a family of 5-6 and we are so happy to use it, absolutely worth the investment.

Incredible Cook-top

I've cooked on an induction cook top before and loved it so when I moved to a new home with a gas cook top I looked to replace it with an induction one. The GE induction cook top functions so efficiently and I love the sounds it makes to let you know it's on or off or when you change cooking temperatures. It cooks evenly and fast. I love the built in's very handy when a recipe indicated to cook for a set number of minutes...the timer is right there. My only complaint would be that I think all the controls should light up when you turn on one burner and the temperature control should stay lit up on the burner in use. It's a bit hard to see the controls without them being lit up.

Same issue as CJ2K - 4 burners not working

I just bought a house that has an induction cooktop. It was working great then all of a sudden 4 of the 5 burners stopped working. They will turn on for about 7 seconds then shut right off. This is the same issue that CJ2K reported in a post 1 month ago. What causes this to happen? I'm not keen on having to pay someone to come out and tell me what is wrong.

Love This Cooktop!

I am so happy that I decided to make the move to induction! This cooktop is so responsive and the learning curve has been very short (been using it for about a week)! Still trying to pop the perfect batch of popcorn, but I think next time using 7 will be the sweet spot. Clean up is so easy and it looks great in my new kitchen!

Great at first...

This cooktop looks beautiful and was great at first. After only a few days three out of five burners do not work. After turning them on, the burners quickly shut off automatically. I can only use two burners on the left side which is very frustrating considering the price. Now I unfortunately have to wait for a GE service technician to come out which shouldn't be the case for an appliance of this price. I am not sure if this is an issue with GE's induction cooktop or appliances in general, but hopefully the former since I also bought their microwave/oven wall combination which was even more expensive.
