Beautiful cooktop and love induction

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I just hooked it up this morning after getting our new granite countertops. We only had one pan that was magnetic, the tried and true cast iron skillet. We put a thin rag under it so we wouldn't scratch the glass. It was amazing to see the bacon fry with a towel under the pan (actually the towel did discolor a little so I probably won't do that again, need to get a smooth bottom skillet). Worked great on a 4 setting. We went from an old 30 electric smooth top to this 36 induction because we had enough counter space. Looks so professional. Now we need to go buy our new induction ready cookware. I guess that is the initial drawback. None of our old pots are magnetic. It was difficult to decide on the best cookware without breaking the bank. We found a good 11 piece stainless set for a little of a hundred dollars. It is so easy to clean. Nothing burns on to the glass. Just wipe it with Cerama Bryte.

4 of 5 burners not working

Last night heard a pop sound and 4 side burners come on but then turn off. Only center one is working. Really disappointed. GE this is poor product reliability.

Renovating our Kitchen

We bought this induction cooktop instead of going with gas as part of our Kitchen renovation. The cooktop causes high frequency noise with some pots and the noise is louder as we increase the led lighting with the dimmer. We are buying newer pots designed for induction to see if we can get rid of the noise. There is a lot of discussion on this issue on the internet on all brands.

GREAT for the new house!
