Bad quality, terrible service

We upgraded the appliances in the kitchen of our new home. Just 21 months after moving in, the even heat burner would not heat up beyond low. We were told the cooktop is out of warranty. We should have been more careful when we read the documentation. Now, as I am looking for a local repair guy and also looking at possible replacement appliances, I see other companies offer 5 year warranties. What the heck, Kitchenaid? bad quality and bad warranties? I won't be buying your products again.

I bought this late May and before a month of usage, the "warmer coil" FAILED-- it made the "hot surface" red light warning stay ON all the time. A repairman came to diagnose it, then another visit to replace the coil. I love the looks of it. My old JennAir looked so dated! plus it didn't work properly anymore. So this is a great improvement, but I must say, when the water overboiled the other day (cooking hard boiled eggs) it was a MESS because the extra water on the surface had nowhere to go. So I had to change to another coil to continue boiling the eggs, so they did not turn out well (hard to peel).

Very sleek with lots of features.

I bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher and just love the quality. So when it came to the stove top I automatically new what brand I was going to buy.

Excellent heat control, works 10 x better than old one

It has dual burners, gets very hot very quickly. Has ultra low to keep things warm or melting, money well spent.
