Good cooktop but having trouble w/ blemishes

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had the electric cooktop installed in our new home and itÕs great for cooking. However, little marks or blemishes started showing up within a couple weeks of use. They are not scratches as the countertop is still perfectly smooth. Tried cleaning it with the cleaner that came with the countertop but it doesnÕt seem to work. Very disappointed with the blemishes.

Cooktop is very limiting. Prefer electric coils.

While electric cooktops may be aesthetically pleasing to view, they lose the practicality of electric coils, which can also be used as great turrets when moving hot cookware around. Plus, the time and effort it takes to maintain that lustrous appearance, detracts from their use; not to mention the expense for the cream, to keep it clean. In addition, there are limits as to the types of cookware that can be used. For example, cast iron and ceramic all not permitted as they would scratch the surface. This cook is more about practicality than pretty! :)

It doesn't work

It was installed in my new house, but it doesn't work. I give it 2 stars and try to call the company. Will update on the result

This cooktop came with the appliance package in our new house. It is both beautiful and functional. The rapid boil feature is especially nice. The lock feature that prevents accidents in homes with little ones or in our case little visitors is also a great safety feature. This cooktop makes me want to cook a whole lot more.

The product meets the need. It should have been a bit more classy for the price of our home.
